As Associate Director for the Kohler Center, Megan provides support, guidance and resources to students that help them evolve their businesses, ideas and interests in entrepreneurship. She is responsible for developing and implementing programming to support student entrepreneurial development across campus. Megan collaborates with faculty and staff across campus as well as partnering with the Social Innovation Initiative to offer joint programming at the 707 Hub.
Megan’s professional background prior to the Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship has been in corporate and community relations with a focus on growing STEAM education, innovation and entrepreneurship in Milwaukee. Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and minor in Marketing from Marquette University

Robert Gross is a Manager for Construction Projects at Northwestern University.
Bob is an architecture, interior design and project management professional with over 40 years of diverse experience, on both large and small projects, in higher education, corporate, commercial, residential, hospitality and interiors. With experience from the viewpoint of both the client and professional consultant, his background provides a uniquely balanced perspective of all aspects of the design and construction process.
Bob is a licensed architect and holds a BS in Architecture, a Masters in Architecture and an MBA from the University of Illinois.
Executive Director of The Garage, Northwestern University
Melissa Kaufman is the executive director of The Garage, startup central at Northwestern. She is a former Googler, startup veteran, and entrepreneur with a decade of experience at consumer technologies companies in Silicon Valley. Currently, she is a committee member of ChicagoNEXT (Mayor Emanuel’s technology council), a member of the Chicago Technology Initiative, and a venture partner at Chicago Ventures. She was named to Chicago Inno’s 50 on Fire in 2017 and Crain’s Tech 50 in 2018. Melissa received her BA in computer science from Dartmouth College. The Garage at Northwestern has continually evolved and enhanced to respond to the ever changing needs of its high-demanding university students. This singular space has been a catalyst for change across the campus. In an environment where failure is not known, these students are brought through a rigorous mentoring and engagement process to be prepared for not only successes in life but also failures.

David Taeyaerts is the Associate Vice Chancellor of Learning Environments & Campus Architect at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has over 25 years of diverse experience in professional practice, teaching and higher education administration. Dave is a licensed architect, engineer, and a LEED accredited professional. He is skilled in higher education facility and space programming, planning, design, assessment, master planning, capital planning, project management and project leadership. Dave is a member of the Facilities Planning Academy of the Society for College and University Planning and on the Board of Advisers for the Learning Space Collaboratory Roundtables.
