Marcus was the lead facilitator working with the university and all stakeholder groups throughout the initial planning study as well as all design, production, and construction phases. His generalist background in higher education, spanning a wide range of living, learning, and social building projects, gives him a holistic view of national trends. His intimate involvement in this project means that he has a wealth of surprising and entertaining anecdotes from the project, each illuminating the complex dynamics of a renovation project with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Joe is a Principal of Trivers Associates and brings 30 years of experience from both the design and construction industries. He has completed numerous adaptive reuse and renovation projects for colleges, universities, and the Federal government. His experience with historic structures includes facilities on the National Register. Joe is an active member of SCUP, and served as Program Chair for the North Central Regional Conference in 2012. Joe also served as the Conference Chair for the 2013 North Central Regional Conference.

University Architect, University of Kansas
James Modig is the University Architect at the University of Kansas, Facilities Planning and Development and a licensed architect in the State of Kansas. He coordinates the planning, design, and construction management of all campus projects, consisting of over 1,000 acres and over 11-million square feet of facilities — including the new Earth, Energy and Environment Center. The University has experienced over 3.8-million square feet of growth in the last 27 years and over $1.6 billion in major construction projects.
Executive Director, Washington University Medical Center Redevelopment Corporation
Brian Phillips is the Executive Director of the Washington University Medical Center, a partnership between BJC HealthCare and Washington University dedicated to the revitalization and stabilization of neighborhoods surrounding the campus. He formerly served as a City Planner for the City of St. Louis.
Currently, Mr. Phillips serves as board President of the Park Central Community Development Corporation, Treasurer of the Grove Community Improvement District, board President of the Euclid South Community Improvement District and board member of St. Louis Community Builders Network. Previously, he served as a founding member and board chair of the Spanish Lake Community Development Corporation and secretary of College Bound.
Presently, he is engaged in comprehensive neighborhood stabilization and community revitalization efforts in a number of neighborhoods in the Central Corridor, including the Forest Park Southeast and Central West End neighborhoods.
Henry S. Webber
Executive Vice Chancellor for Administration, Washington University in St Louis
Hank serves as the University’s chief administrative officer and oversees facilities, campus planning, capital projects, information technology (joint with the provost), campus security, operations, off-campus real estate acquisition and development, human resources, sustainability, communications, and a variety of other administrative and external affairs areas with combined operating and capital budgets of over $400M annually and over 1,200 University and contracted staff. He chairs the University’s administrative cabinet.
