From Process Innovation to A Brave New World in Student Services

Presenter(s): Karen E. Hinton, Sean Kaylor, and Roy H. Merolli, Marist College
Convener: Perry Chapman, Sasaki Associates, Inc.

Learn how new market concepts in student services motivated Marist College to redesign its process for the fall opening of school. The impact of this redesign process moved the college to a new model for problem solving and set new standards for service quality. Presenters discuss the critical roles of all project aspects from participant selection and focusing the charge to the final report and assessment completion. Session guests will receive the same process-analysis diagrams used by the Marist team in order to diagnosis their own problem areas.

This knowledge resource from SCUP is a concurrent session presented at the Society's thirty-sixth annual, international conference and Expo, SCUP–36, in Boston, MA (USA), in July of 2001.

Audiocassettes of this and other SCUP–36 sessions are available for purchase here.

Due to our concern for the privacy of members of the face-to-face audiences at SCUP-36, our digital archives of SCUP-36 presentations end at the beginning of the question and answer portion of each session. Whenever we can, we not only provide streaming audio but the slide show or visual presentation used by the presenters, as well.
