The University of Phoenix has established itself as a leader and trendsetter in the nontraditional adult higher education marketplace. It is currently the largest private university in the United States. Our keynote presenter will share the university's 25-year odyssey from its small beginning to its current strong position. Laura Palmer Noone is the chief administrative officer responsible for the University of Phoenix. Prior to her appointment in July 2000, she served six years as the provost and senior vice president for academic affairs. She also served as a faculty member there in the areas of business, business law, ethics, and communication, and was recognized as the outstanding faculty member in 1989. She frequently presents in the areas of for-profit higher education, nontraditional education and modes of delivery, and the use of technology in education. Laura Palmer Noone is also a guest faculty lecturer at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education's Institute for Education Management and the Management of Lifelong Education program. |
