Linking Strategic Planning and Budgeting Processes to a University's Accreditation Self-Study
Presenter(s): Robert I. Davis, Patricia J. Higgins, Robert M. Karp and Edward J. Miller, Plattsburgh State University
This case study describes the longitudinal process a four-year SUNY institution employed to develop, revise, and refine a flexible systems-based strategic-planning process. The process is linked to the university's strategic and operational budgeting paradigm, and it serves as the foundation for the university's innovative accreditation self-study design. Recommendations on how to develop such a process, gain consensus, keep interest, and deploy for success will be shared. |
