Wayfinding as a Marketing Tool
Presenter(s): Scott Cuyler, Square Peg Design; Robert S. Sena, Moore Iacofano Goltsman, Inc.; Paul J. Vander Horst, Georgia Institute of Technology
Stories are plentiful at Georgia Tech regarding people's inability to find their way to campus and, once there, to find their desired destination. The "Wayfinding Master Plan" recognizes that one's first impression of campus is critical and takes a regional view including the institute's image and its "visibility" from transit and highways. It establishes environmental cues and a hierarchy of open spaces and linkages in addition to signage in order to orient users of the campus. |

| Due to our concern for the privacy of members of the face-to-face audiences at SCUP-36, our digital archives of SCUP-36 presentations end at the beginning of the question and answer portion of each session. Whenever we can, we not only provide streaming audio but the slide show or visual presentation used by the presenters, as well. |
