Engaging Students and Faculty in Creating a Center of Community and Hands-on Learning

The University of Wisconsin-Madison's College of Engineering engaged K-12 students, university students, and faculty across disciplines to talk about curricular and extracurricular learning needs and how a new facility could meet them. They also addressed the needs of interdisciplinary research centers. Learn about the planning process, the creativity it encouraged, and the challenges that developed. Two student-centered initiatives that were integrated with the planning process will be discussed. |
