Are YOUR Projects Getting Done On Time and Within Budget?

Presenter(s): Tony Aeck, Lord, Aeck & Sargent, Architects; Lamar Holland, Georgia State Financing & Investment Commission; Michael Kenig, Holder Construction Company
Convener: Stephen P. Hannabury, Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering

Seeking to understand why their own study indicated that their projects were not successful, the state of Georgia found that the answer was right in front of them all along . . . it was the planning process! An owner/architect/contractor presentation team shares how the state discovered, through public/private collaboration, that alternative delivery by itself was not the answer. Better planning was the key. Presenters will share the state's story and the lessons learned.
This knowledge resource from SCUP is a concurrent session presented at the Society's thirty-sixth annual, international conference and Expo, SCUP–36, in Boston, MA (USA), in July of 2001.

Audiocassettes of this and other SCUP–36 sessions are available for purchase here.

Due to our concern for the privacy of members of the face-to-face audiences at SCUP-36, our digital archives of SCUP-36 presentations end at the beginning of the question and answer portion of each session. Whenever we can, we not only provide streaming audio but the slide show or visual presentation used by the presenters, as well.
