Reporting on Faculty Activity and Productivity: Different Strategies for Different Audiences
Presenter(s): Michael F. Middaugh, University of Delaware
Higher education has typically taken a one-size-fits-all approach to reporting information on faculty activity and productivity to widely disparate audiences. The result has been substantial miscommunication, misunderstanding, misinformation, and mistrust. This presentation reviews specific strategies for targeting appropriate data that will more clearly and accurately describe to specific audiences what faculty do, leading to more informed discussions of instructional and scholarly productivity. |

| Due to our concern for the privacy of members of the face-to-face audiences at SCUP-36, our digital archives of SCUP-36 presentations end at the beginning of the question and answer portion of each session. Whenever we can, we not only provide streaming audio but the slide show or visual presentation used by the presenters, as well. |
